August continued with our family dinner. We had a great time, many of us in our favorite team’s apparel. Our dinner was fantastic, thanks to our cooks, Art Parziale, Michele Gasparro, & Evan Matthews. Bob “Ravioli” Porta and his crew did a great job taking care of us in the dining hall. This was a fun evening. Thank you all for attending. Our second birthday dinner was another nice event at the Fratellanza, and another delicious dinner. Thank you to our cooks, Don Nicole, Angelo Marchi, & Lonnie Chase. Thanks also to dinner chairman Mike Rajavec and crew for a great job.
Saturday, August 25th was our annual Scholarship Golf Classic. Thank you to all our golfers & dinner guests. A special thank you to all our hole sponsors and to all who donated to the scholarship fund. Also thank you to those who donated to our raffle at the dinner. Your generosity makes a big difference and is appreciated by all. Our dinner after the tournament was delicious. Thank you, Art Parziale & Evan Matthews for a great dinner. Big thanks go to Larry Quirico, Ron Blair and Steve Taddei for their hustle and hard work, making this event a success.
September started with our first birthday dinner. Our dinner chairmen, Angelo Marchi & Aldo Dossa, chose one of our favorite meals, ravioli and chicken cacciatore. Thank you to our cooks, Angelo Marchi, Don Nicole, Vito Muscardin. Thanks also to Scott Dossa who pulled double duty as cook’s assistant and waiter.
September 8th was our Pizza & Pasta dinner, hosted by Chef Tony Gemignani. The club was packed with over 450 guests. Chef Tony’s dinner was fantastic. You know you’re in for a treat when Prosciutto Di Parma is on your antipasti plate. The house made fennel sausages & peppers w/ meatballs as well as the pesto pasta were out of the world. Then came the Sicilian style pan pizza. Momma Mia, it was delicious. Tony, we can’t thank you enough for the generous giving of your time & talents. On behalf of the officers, board of directors & members of the Fratellanza club, thank you. Big thanks go to Tony’s crew, Laura, Stephanie, Phil and Angelo. Thanks also to Paul Gretch & Evan Inada from Columbus meats for their generosity. Thank you Gianfranco for leading us in song. Special thanks to Rich Giaramita for his hard work taking care of the reservations & seating. I would also like to thank all who donated to our raffle with a sincere thank you to Jim Ervin for your very generous donations. The surprise of the night came when Janice Williams & Jack Thornton donated a 10 day stay at their condo on Oahu. Thank you so much, that was very generous.
Our wait staff was outstanding; you all did a great job. I really appreciate your hard work. Thank you also to our bartenders, with over 450 guests, you did a fantastic job. Thank you Roger Laurel, for your resourcefulness that night.
