From our President – January 2023

First & foremost I want to thank each & every one of you for allowing me to be your president in 2023. I take this very seriously & I promise you that the Officers & Board members representing you in 2023 will do a commendable job with integrity at the highest to make a great Club even better.

We have already begun working together, forming committees & planning a spectacular calendar of events for 2023. In that regard, the best way to stay informed is to read our monthly newsletter & plan to get involved in activities. Lets start 2023 with a positive attitude.

Our ladies Social Club & our men’s anniversary dinner is scheduled for January 28th. Prior to that we will be having two birthday dinners that should be well attended. Please plan on attending these events, join in the camaraderie so we can work together to make things fun for all of us.

To the Officers & Board members who have moved on to new adventures, we thank you for all that you have done & we look forward to your guidance, your knowledge & your experience to help us in the future.

Management of the Club does not require a genius, merely someone who listens, learns the wishes of the membership & guides a sound organization toward that goal. The Officers & Board members for 2023 are prepared to do exactly that & we are going to have fun along the way.

Some of our sub committees are working on themes for dinners; an efficient way to acquire all of our food & supplies for all events at the club; ensure our cooks & staff in the kitchen that safety & quality go hand in hand, & our dinners will be of the highest quality.

The head cook for every event will be in charge of the kitchen or lunch activity with no exceptions! This is necessary for safety compliance & to protect the integrity of kitchen staff. To that extent we are asking for all dinner chairmen & their serving staff to be health department certificated food handlers & beverage stewards.

If questions exist to acquire these certificates, please ask any Officer or Board member. The process is swift & very easy, above all it is mandatory should we get inspected.

Lastly, look for the dates of our upcoming Crab feeds in February & March. Your involvement will make them a great success.
